Our company has an existing network that is hosted externally. We also use
VOIP through another vendor. We would like to bring the network in-house,
but retain our existing VOIP provider. I am completely new to VOIP systems,
and so my first question is - when selecting the various network components
to purchase and install in-house, what do I need to buy or consider in terms
of configuration, so that we will still connect to our VOIP provider?
We will also be replacing the existing T-1 lines that go to our current
network host provider, with fiber optic that goes out to the Internet. Do I
need another dedicated line to go to the VOIP provider? Do I need any
hardware to make all this happen?
Maybe the above are "dumb questions" but I'm completely new to VOIP, so
please bear with me.
