I have a windows xp network at home and office. I use a laptop with windows
xp on both networks. Recently my laptop "lost" the icons of the various
computers at "My Network Places" that are part of the home and office
networks. I double checked that the various computers were sharing
enabled........they were. To my knowledge no network changes were made to
the laptop network settings. ???????????????? How do I regain the icons of
the network computers??????????

Thanks,

Gene Brabston

It could be computer browser issue. Any errors in the event viewer?

Hi
Go over all the settings correct what is needed to be corrected and Reboot.
If the other computer do not appear wait about an hour and reboot again.
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,
http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html
As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.
