Hi Chuck
Please bear with me as I have no idea what I am doing. I have downloaded
Browstat and run it but it just shows the command prompt for a sec and then
disappears. I have run it using my workgroup name as suggested but then it
tells me browstat is not a recognised command. What do I do with that? Net
config server I had more luck with and this is what came up Microsoft Windows
XP [Version 5.1.2600]

as you can see I am making progress and if you have the stomach to bear with
me then we will get there?
thanks so far and I will move on with the browstat when you explain where i
