windows movie maker record button missing

I am totally confused.I bought this computer and went into the same place where I bought it and movies maker is just not the same as theirs.They have a record button and I dont.I have asked how to get this and have serched everywhere.I even downloaded windows movie maker two but its the very same.Even all the xp books have a record button but not mine.What is it missing.I give up.katie

no I just want to know why my movie maker is not the same one as what the stores have.They have a record button up on the right hand side and mine has none

The stores don't sell Movie Maker. It comes with Windows XP.... so I guess
I'm totally confused about what it is you're seeing at the store and what's
missing from Movie Maker.

I'd like to help, but I don't know what to say unless I understand it more.
