    - HP Pavilion Media Center PC, Windows Movie Maker question This should be real simple: I have a Media Center PC, which means it's got one of those doors you open on the front with all kinds of inputs on it. Shouldn't I easily be able to hook up my camcorder outputs (composite) into the composite inputs and just capture what's on my camcorder? I start Windows Movie maker, but it only recognizes one capture device, and that's the Dazzle DVC 90. This just doesn't work. (not sure if it's the fault of Windows MM or the Dazzle) Shouldn't it show other capture device(s) ? I've also got a Hauppauge PVR-150 that works fine, so I would think it should show three capture devices. Please help - I'm stuck. FWIW, I'm running XP Home, that's what it came with.     - My shared folder is locked... how do I unlock it? In case you are wondering why this is a problem for me it's because I am missing a file called sample1.jpg. Recently I figured out that this file is needed to preview transitions and stuff.     - connecting vcr to E510 in order to capture vhs can someone please help. I've followed every instruction in the manuals and examples, but i can't get the movie maker to detected the vcr. I've bought every adapter RCA makes to connect the vcr. the instructions sound so simple"use the blue line-in connector to attach .....vcr. Now there was no blue tip connector with the computer when i bought it, should it have been? All the computer store keep telling me that these RCA adapters sould work bu they do not.     - Audio "pop" at video transition Recently, I am experiencing a white noise "poping" sound at the place between video clips. Not all "transitions" have the problem, just sporatic. Sometimes just at the "cut" between and sometimes at a "fade" between. Is this caused by some audio filter, or transitions "bleeding" over into the control track? Problem only noticed in playback after saved in "highest quality" (DV-AVI). (Lowest quality "playback format for computer", it does not occur).     - Credits problem in Movie Maker using xp or Vista I'm having a credits problem using xp or Vista software. Using the template on credits gives me two different font sizes depending on which column I use on the provided credits template. The font size in the left credits column is smaller than the right column credits. Changing the font size via the icon on the highlighted words changes the entire credits font size in both columns. I've tried numerous methods, including changing the font type, but no luck. Since I haven't seen any previous issues on this, I must be doing something wrong.     - Audio control decrease only? I have noticed that attempting to change the audio of a clip seems to be to decrease only. Opening the clip's audio control shows the slider on maxium by default.     - Same black screen, different situation? I've been converting .flv files to .wmv, and then importing the .wmv clips into the WMM collection. The movies are generally simple, usually with a single imported .wmv file and a .jpg at the end with no transitions other than fade in/out. The audio is not muted, but also is faded in/out. All seems to go well until the movie is published... The resulting .wmv video plays normally for the first few seconds, and then I lose the video but not the audio. Oddly, I notice that sometimes a section of the end of the same video also plays normally, with the middle missing. Subsequent production of the same project produces the same results, but usually in different places of the movie.     - Slides stop playing My daughter is putting together a slide show of photos for her senior class with background music using WMM version 5.1. When I save it to a movie file and play the wmv back it will stop on one slide and not go to the next while the time and music continue as they are supposed to. Is there something I can change to fix this? The slide show is about 60 minutes long and the save process appears to run smoothly.     - Problem: Movie Maker uses very much CPU without doing anything I have used Movie Maker for more than a year to edit my DV-films and I have been rather successful. My problem is that the program often uses very much CPU, 20-50 % without doing anything. The result is that the showing of a clip is very interrupted many times per second. If I wait many minutes Movie Maker may possibly â??calm downâ?? and then show the film correctly. But the problem has allways been there to some degree, but is now worse than earlier. Sometimes it helps to save the project, exit the program and start it again. But now I don't think that helps any longer. More and more I have used the possibility to shorten clips in the time-line both in the beginning and in the end by dragging the start or the end of the clip. It seems as this may be a reason.     - W Moviemaker crashes due to large file size Hello I have been using Windows Movie maker for more than three years without any hassles on my computer running Windows XP Recently I have encouintered a problem in capturing video from by DV camcorder The programme crashes within few seconds of capture (in less than 30 seconds) So I started trying various other video capture prorgammes like AVS /Cyberlink Power DVD/ WinDV. Both Powever DVD & Win DV generates unusually very large size file of about 225 mb per minute. In the past normally it take 15 minutes of capture to generate such a large size file of 225 mb size file. AVS software similar to Windows Moviemaker, ends up with error message after couple of seconds for the reason I am short of memory resoucres, prompting me to shut down other programs. But Moviemaker just crashes without even any error message. So I tried upgrading my hardware by increasing the RAM capacity from 760 mb to 1500 mb. Still there is no solution to this problem. It appears to me, there is something wrong in video compression engine of the computer on the operating system Windos XP rather than to a specific video capture programme, be it Windows Moview maker / Power DVD / Win DV /AVS or whatever it may be. Only ultimate plan I have as a last resort is to try reinstalling Windows XP.     - Movie Maker freezes I need some help. I imported some DV and I imported it into Movie Maker. Everything worked so far, but when I try and put the clip in the timeline to start to work on it ....the system freezes. Everything become unresponsive and the only way out is CTRL ALt DEL. I am using XP Home with SP2. I have all the current updates. My computer is a Athlon AMD 64 bit Dual core 2.7 GHZ with 2 GB of RAM. I am trying to import the clips into Movie Maker to clean them up some (a little dark) and then save the bigger MPEG2 to a smaller file size format to upload and share.     - I lose video when I add an audio/music track. I had a VCR tape of a movie (not a commercial movie). I used Honestechâ??s VCR to DVD 3.0 Deluxe to convert it to an .mpg file. The volume was too low so I brought it into Windows moviemaker (6.0) and dragged the file to the audio track and saved a copy as the audio file. I opened the new audio file in WavePad and enhanced the volume. I then opened Windows Moviemaker and dragged the initial .mpg file onto the video track (which split into video/audio). I turned the volume down to nothing and muted it on the movieâ??s audio track. I then dragged my enhanced audio track to the Audio/Music track and burned a DVD. When I play the DVD all I get is good audio â?? no video. If I make a DVD of the initial .mpg file with the inadequate volume I do get both the audio and the video.     - Animated images in video Okay, tell me if anyone knows how to make this work... So I wanted to put some animated pictures in a video, like the ones you see on myspace (the motion icons, the glitter effects) but it keeps giving me an error message. I think it's because it's a GIF file so it doesn't work with Windows Movie Maker. The only other option of saving for an animated picture is a BMP file which doesn't allow the picture to be animated after it's saved like that.     - Movie maker screws up my audio clips...please help!!! I am trying to create videos to upload to YouTube, but something happened to Windows Movie Maker. I have created several videos recently without any problems, but something seems to have happened to Windows Movie Maker. Every song or audio clip I import shows an incorrect duration. For example, a 4:19 long song shows up as 7:18. This happens with every single clip I import. I would like to reinstall the program, but I'm having trouble. It is not an option to uninstall in Add/Remove programs, nor is it in Add/Remove Windows Components. Furthermore, I cannot seem to find a download for it on Microsoft's website.     - Intentionally Blurring a Clip I would like to Slow Down and Blur a clip. I want to shoot my two nephews walking toward me and have the clip blurred to the point that you cant make out what it is and then cut away to stills then come back to the shot as it comes into focus. Can that be done, or does that have to be done all in the camera? I think the last part will have to be done in the camera but that a clip that is blurry to out of focus can be done in WMM.     - Music files? Every time I import some music files, for some odd reason, the time says it's about 7:30 minutes long? I play it in windows media, and it says 3:58 minutes(correct time). Also, if I'm in the middle of making a video, and I want to see a certain part, the music starts off somewhere else. For example, I'm using the song Far Away, and it would play the chorus where the verse should be. There isn't any corruptions with the music files, or any errors either.     - Blurry pictures Hello. My pictures are showing up really blurry when I preview the photo slideshow I made in Movie Maker. I read that this is normal but when you show on the tv it will not be blurry.     - Movie Maker Crashes after 7 items placed in story line I have cured the problem ... after about 30 hours of reading up and trying various suggestions Thanks to those that replied and helped me finally establish a solution For the archives, and to help others here is an out line of what I found out. A) This is a problem that has been recorded several times before ( see Dean Rowe blog) some people have experienced crashing after 6 items are put on the story board and some after the seventh but it is always the same fixed number of items when the crash occurs B) The problem seems to be that the update files Wmm2ae.dll through to Wmm2res.dll are up loaded via Microsoft automatic update BUT the main programe moviemk.exe is not ( has not been ) updated and is vers 2.0 instead of ver 2.1 c) uploading xp sp2 or running Microsoft up dates DID NOT cure it d) this is how I FOUNDthe problem make a restore point in c:\program Files\Movie maker, view , tiles Check that Wmm2Ae.dll .... to Wmm2res.dll are there and have the version number 2.1.40.26 ( as per Dean Rowe's blog) CheckMovieMk.exe in explorer select properties and if the file is ver 2.0 then you have confirmed the problem it should be ver 2.1.... All of the following may not be necessary but here is how I rectified it I AM NOT A COMPUTER BLOKE SO I AM ONLY TELLING YOU WHAT WORKED FOR ME! open START UP - RUN TYPE In C:\windows\system32\dllcache ENTER ........ see Dean Rowe's blog if its not hthere and you need ServicePackFiles\i386 Hold down control and select the following files Moviemk.exe wmm2ae.dll wmm2eres.dll Wmm2ext.dll Wmm2flt.dll Wmm2fxa.dll Wmm2fxb.dll Wmm2res2.dll Wmm2res.dll .note I did not find ANY of these Wmm" files here so I just selecteed Moviemk.exe on it's own. YES TO ALL Restart Windows XP I then did a run update from Control panel , automatic update and It said I needed Service pack 3 I express installed this which took about 2hours !!!! I have a Sony DCR-HC30 which I used for years with WMM 2.1 connect via firewire with no issue. Now I ingest footage off my DCR via WMM with no issue, edit and output it for DVD burning and suddenly the AVI files that I could view yesterday, are unreadable today with the "An interface has too many methods to fire events from" error. Now the only think I have changed over the years is the addition of a 500Gb HDD for storing and working on more video footage. The drive has occassion issues staying connected through the USB. I am suspecting that it is either the drive or the USB connection that is unstable here. I am lookinf for options and suggestions to resolve my issues. Would connecting external HDD to the PC via firewire improve anything? Is there another resolution I am overlooking? Please advise. Thanks. Tag: unable to import more than i video files Tag: 65758

iam unable to import more than 1 files at a time problem is only with video
files..
and when i import other files after importing video .video file is being
replaced by others...
mine wworked well till i installed adorage effects, now i uninstalled even
then problem not resolving....
please help me.... its giving lots problem in my project,which i have to
finish by 5 days
