    - Inability to capture video I have used Windows Movie Maker before to capture video from the same camera I'm using now. However, the original capture had a sound problem, so I went back to capture it again. Now, when the "Capture from video device" dialog opens, it immediately gives a message of "No such interface supported." Once I press "OK," the dialog closes and I cannot change the settings for the capture to remedy this problem, assuming that is the cause. Any suggestions are appreciated.     - How to insert a picture Hello, I'm using movie maker 2. I have a simple 30 second movie clip. I want to insert a still picture OVER the existing video and audio for 4 seconds, from 12 seconds in to 16 seconds in. I don't want a dissolve, or fade, I just want the picture to be on top of the existing video, keep the current audio underneath, and not add any time to the total clip length of 30 seconds.     - No Sound in MM2 Hi, I am new to Movie Maker and am having some problems with it. I am capturing film from a Panasonic NVGS11EB digital camcorder over a firewire connection to my PC. I am following the MM2 capture wizard and can hear sound playing through the camcorder during this capture process. However, when I play back the clip in MM2 there is no sound at all. I do not have any other connections from the camcorder to the PC other than the firewire as I understood this to be all that was necessary. I have also confirmed that my PC speakers are functioning and have checked the camcorder and the tapes were recorded in 12bits rather than 16.     - analogue capture-(public respond)-help I am trying to capture vhs media. Bought a ADS instant USB capture device and it keeps freezing or else the video wavers- on my Pentium 4 -512mb memory with 60 gigs. Have read Papa Johns webs site for alternatives. Alot of devices out there. Not enough money to try them all. Asking for feedback from others as to what is the best device out there that they would really recommend that doesn't freeze on them and has a decent quality video.     - how to burn a DVD with Roxio? I have Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6. I have a very poor quality MM2 movie which I have converted to avi file to improve quality. Now my 37 min movie won't fit on DVD due to size of avi file. Have been advised to import avi file to Roxio to convert to mpeg2 for DVD. Does anyone out there know how to do that?     - Freezing??? Every time I try to add the fade in from black effect my movie maker freezes. Is there something I am doing wrong.     - Can`t save in DV-AVI Hi there- I was using the wizard to save my movie and it gave me the option to save in a few formats (one for playback on the computer, camera, etc.) I`ve read that people recommend saving it to the one that is best for a camera (av-dvi, correct?) so I tried to select that one. It told me to plug in my camera. I don`t have a camera. What I`m trying to do is save the movie and burn it to a dvd +r using nero, for playback on my dvd player. At the moment I'm creating wmv files and then I convert then to mpg using a program called tmpgenc, but it seems like a waste of time having to go through 2 encoding processes. I have rently compiled my first movie and burned it to a Vcd, only to be told that it cannot be played on a DVD player this way.     - No Audio from Firewire Capture Hi, I am new to MM2 and have a Panasonic GS11EB DV camcorder connected via a Firewire cable to my PC. I have captured the video using the MM2 wizard and during the capture I can hear sound through the camcorder playback but no sound is transferred to the PC. It is recorded in 12bit on the camcorder and there are no other additional audio connections from the camcorder to the PC as I did not think this was required. Does anyone have any ideas.     - Does anyone know of a program that will actually do the things WMM Does anyone know of a program that will actually do the things WMM v.2, and previous versions, said they could do? I copied a VHS tape to CD, and now want to edit the approx. 30 min. video into much smaller clips, including deleting some of the blank clips. I feel lucky if I am able to transfer two or three clips before it crashes. I do not have sound on the CD. I can view it just fine as is, in WM Player; I just can't edit it in any way. There is contiguous space that would allow the clips to be saved contiguously, so what is the problem with the crashing, or just freezing up? It sure seems that no one really knows.     - How to increase DVD capacity Want to convert VHS tapes to DVD. Already captured it in AVI format (320-240 YUY2 25 fps), edited it in Windows Movie Maker, and saved as a project (*.MSWMM). Also saved the movie as a *.wmv file. I'd like to burn the movie (2 hours and 20 minutes) on a single DVD using MyDVD on the *.wmv file, however, according to MyDVD this would take 2 full DVD's. Reducing the bitrate while producing the *.wmv file doesn't help. Is there a way to reduce the file size and burn it on a single DVD? Preferably while maintaining it in the original VHS quality?     - Movie is cut by half by WMM2 When I import a mpeg movie in WMM2, only half of it is played ! I have tried to lengthen the video with the arrows but it's impossible. I only get half of it. It stops after a few seconds. The correct duration is 03:27 but in the collection window, it indicates 0:03 ! It's the same for all my videos.     - Saving Movie Problems I am having trouble saving movies in MM2. It is a intermittent problem. I can capture the audio/video okay and move the clips to the timeline okay. I can also make headers and ending credits okay. However, when it comes time to save the movie, I get a strange message about how I can't save the movie due to invalid source files, inadequate space, and/or a bad saving location. However, none of this is true, as I have plenty of RAM, plenty of hard disk space, the source files are intact and the destination is valid. There basically is NO reason the movies are not saving properly, as I haven't changed the settings from the last time I used MM2 a month ago (it worked fine then).     - MM2 sound problem (16 bits or 12 bits) Hi, I'm capturing video from camcorder Panasonic PVDV53 using firewire and MM2 as capturing software in Windows XP. If I'm selecting WMV as target format in MM2 and later convert to MPEG2 and burn to DVD everything OK (but quality of video isn't so good and looks overcompressed a bit like VCD or bad DIVx). If I'm selecting AVI-DV format as target in MM2 and later convert huge avi file to MPEG2 and burn to DVD video quality is excellent and much better then in previous case but sound plays about octave lower. Strange that synchronization of sound with video still presents. I have noticed that problem presents if I'm using 16 bits sound mode in camcorder. For 12 bits recorded on camcorder sound everything OK. I have several films with 16 bits sound. Any suggestions how to fix it and convert to DVD (MPEG-2)? I transferred from my Sony video camera with firewire using iLink following the standard steps in MM2. The video when played on the PC is perfect. Something is lost when I transfer to DVD. I have tried several programs to transfer the movie to DVD including Sonic & Roxio. I've saved the movie as AVI (37 min movie won't fit on DVD!), NTSC (DVD player won't read disc), & the standard format used by MM2 program, whatever that is. Nothing has improved the quality. When I click to add title and credits (for beginning, end
etc.) it lets you type what you want, but when you click
done nothing happens also when you go to animations for
the titles and credits there is none.

Does anyone know why?
