Dear Forum/PapaJohn,
I am still having problems wrting to tape when finishing a movie. The
camcorder is activated ie. it reads that it is recording but it never stops
recording and there is nothing on the tape. I tried to use th WinDv program
to correct the problem but even that did the same. Any suggestions anybody
Signed
A desperate Nicky B!

Some camcorders don't have a DV-in feature.

...and on my Sony TRV80, I had to go into the camcorder's menu and change
the DV-in option from 'off' to 'on'

Hey PapaJohn I'm having the same problem as Nicky. And I'm having trouble
recording movies to tape that I have successfully recorded to tape before.

I tried a small two-frame movie as a test, and it just kept coming up with
ridiculous projected times for the recording - the last one was 512 minutes!

Is this something to do with virtual memory? If so I'm not too sure what to
do about that. Can you help? This is a wedding video that the newly married
couple are getting impatient for!

My camera's DV-in option is set to 'on', by the way, and I've used it many
times before with no problems.

Doesn't seem like it would be virtual memory for that small a file.... maybe
a source file of a type it can't handle...
