I have a Leadtek XP2000 Expert running on XP. Captures video (either in
proprietary software or in MovieMaker) but there is no sound on the
recording -- although I hear everything while the video is being recorded.
Suggestions?

Suspect that you are downloading as MPEG1 and you might now need to convert
to MPEG2. There are progs that do this. I had the same problem and this
cured the audio problem.

Video codec is MPEG 2. Audio is MPEG 1 -- which is the only option the
program gives me.

I hope I am not on the wrong track but give this a try. I had video and no
sound and I was advised to run the finished file through this program. It
worked fine but be aware that the finished file has the same name so make
sure that you use the converted one, I put it into a different folder.

Best of luck.
