I have some experience with WMM and I have successfully created a movie with
audio and video. Looks and sounds great after I saved it as a DV-AVI format
when played in RealPlayer. I use Sony's Click to DVD software program and
when I do a preview of the burn there is no audio. Is this common with this
program? Should I get both audio and video or just the video at this stage?
Thanks

I have heard of this happening several times with "Click to DVD" so I have
to assume it is a problem associated with that program but since it is a
proprietary program that I can't download and run myself that has to be left
as an assumption.
I recommend downloading a trial version of another DVD Authoring program and
trying it.
There are several listed in the "DVD Creation" section of my website.
