The biggest nuisance is that it refers to "unknown error".

# It detects it as a Panasonic DV-camera
# it f-s up when manually trying to capture a part of the tape - "Class not
registered"
# I choose "whole tape"
# it rewinds and ...
# FULL STOP "Unknown error"... why thank you for the tip ;-)

Anyone recognize the problem, might have a GS200 and a remedy ?

It is connected with FireWire...

After searchin the internet I have come up with a possible solution... that
worked !
In the run-dialog I wrote: "regsvr32 %windir%\system32\qdv.dll" (WITH a
space before the first "%".

I also tried the "quartz.dll" at the end (exchange "qdv.dll") but it did not
help

Anyway - now it works !... and I'm a few steps further down the "Windows is
a virus"-alley :-)

MM by the way stands for Movie Maker (to make it explicit for anyone searhing)
