It's really strange because i'm familiar with movie maker but in version 2 I
cannot seem to manage to see my clips. The video file is mpg and the clips
and the frames are trimmed as normal, if i select the clip in the source area
i can play it but when i place it in the timeline and try to preview my work
nothing shows up. I tried putting audio and the clips together but only the
sound comes up.

Also when i drag my clip into the timeline and try trimming it with the
arrow cursors i cant see it in the proper monitor screen like Movie Maker 1.

Please can someone tell me how i can view my clips that have been edited on
the timeline??? HELP!!!! Or at least tell me what could be causing this.

What sort of avi file did you make, or if you don't know, which programme
did you use?

There is windows media encoder, found on the Microsoft site, under media.
Otherwise it might be installing a codec, such as a installing a dvd playing
programme to give you an mpeg 2 decoder.
