Dear "Sandmongo3",

I wanted the same sort of information as you:If I can
view / open a Movie Maker 2 Project file of friend's sent
to me in a WMMaker "Project" File, i.e. .mswmm file format
with my Win 98 computer? I too have only Windows Media
Player 7, and obviously in is not compatible. What
opens/views these latest video's in WMMaker format or what
codecs did you find out are required just to open and view
the Winmovie Maker media and project files, failing to
having to obtain WinMovie Maker itself, which is not
supported on Win98 of course?
Please write me back brangus@academicplanet.com
or post to the WinMMaker:
Newsgroupmicrosoft.public.windowsxp.moviemaker Thanks

I'm running Windows 98 with version 7.01 of the Windows Media Player.... and
it plays the movies I make with MM2. I just tested it with the latest one I
made in MM2.1 just to be sure.

The MSWMM file is the Movie Maker project file, not a video file.... you
need to get a saved WMV file.... and it will play on a Windows 98 computer
running WMP7.... you have to be online to automatically get any needed codec
at the time, but it should work.
