    - Video transitions When inserting transitions between photographs I am only able to insert a transition every TWO photographs! I have tried everything to be able to get a transition between each photograph with no result. Anyone have any ideas as to what may have happened to the program or what I am doing wrong?     - capture device error I have a sony DCR SR100 HDD video camera. Connection from camera to computer is via USB, the video camera does not have a firewire connection. First error I receive is that no video capture device is detected. To get past this error I tried to use the software that came with the camera to download the video. When I tried to import the video to movie maker I received the second error message " Could not import. An interface has too many methods to fire events from". How can I make this work???????     - Burning a movie I created a movie using MovieMaker, the problem is; it will only play half of the movie but the background music will still play on to the last song. I burn the movie to a DVD+R and a DVD + RW but I'm still getting the same result. When I burn the movie to a CD and played it back on my computer and my brothers computer it played the whole movie.     - WMM Crash down gdiplus.dll error I have been using Windows Movie Maker 2.1 for a long time without a problem. But now, for no reason I can see, it is not working. Suddenly in the last times when I do click on "Make titles and credits" in Edit Movie section appears the "Windows Movie Maker has encountered a problem and needs to close" notification. This is the error data from that report. Also I tryed "Platform SDK Redistributable: GDI+" from Microsoft's Download Center and is not working yet. After try several times I try to use another video edition software (muvee autoproducer 4.0 SE) but I just can not open it and show me the "Windows Movie Maker has encountered a problem and needs to close" notification also with the next error signature.     - NEED VIDEO IN THREE DAYS FOR MY WEDDING!!!!! HELP!! Ok, I'm about to go nuts here. I am getting married in three days. I have been working on putting together a video presentation for the reception and have spent no less than 60 hours working on this. Mainly because Movie Maker keeps screwing everything up! Ok, I have the 2.1 version. I have 4 songs, I have no idea how many pictures and every picture has a transition with about 4 title overlays total. I have a DELL 3100 that is relatively new. Every time I try to save the file and burn it to a CD which will be played on a laptop and projected onto a wall at the reception, I have problems. It will say that is has saved but when I go to watch it, it stops in the middle or it keeps going with the music but not the pictures or just jams up altogether and won't save at all. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been reading posts but to be honest, I am so burned out at this point, I'm ready to scream. I SO want this to work! I read a post about saving the file as a DVI file to your hard drive and then trying to burn it to a a CD. Does anyone know if this will give me the same quality video for playback as the "local playback for 2.1" option you can use when burning to a CD? Because that quality is great...however it won't save all the way. I'm at 65% saved at this point saving it to my desktop as a DVI. But I'm scared that it's again not going to save correctly or that if it does, when I try to burn the desktop version to my CD, I'm again going to have problems.     - copying from computer to digital camera tape I have edited and finished my movie in movie maker and attempting to copy it back to my camera tape and get an unsucessful report. It states that the tape may have come to an end. After closing up and viewing results on tape it shows big gaps and than stills more gaps and more stills all the way through. So I have video that was shot in 16:9, and whenever I try to import it into Movie Maker, it scrunches it back down to 4:3 which makes the images all compressed and nasty... does anyone know what's up with that?     - Cannot publish in vista I changed from xp tot vista. Now it is impossible to publish a movie anyhow. No dvd, cd, e-mail or harddisc.     - no sound from mpg2 files in movie maker ive got a sony dcr-dvd7e, and running XP home. i can get the files/video clips off the camera with no problems and i can play then back in WMP no problems (they are saved as mpg). i can open/preview the clips in movie maker but when i drag them into the timeline there is no sound and the video is jumpy. any ideas on why they are jumpy and there is no sound?     - saving a movie maker file I am trying to save my movie and it keeps saying "cannot save movie to specified file location. Make sure location is available etc. etc. I have double checked that all files used in the movie are on my computer and made a new file folder in my videos and it still does not work. Sometimes it will say estimated time and that will rise up over 2000 minutes before I quit. I have tried other short movies and it seems to work. it is only like 1.45MB long (4min 40 sec) I am confused and frustrated as this is for work!!!     - Saving movie onto CD or DVD I am getting an error message when I try to save my movie to CD or DVD. It says "This project contains source files that are missing or that have been modified after import. Your project cannot be saved as a movie until the source files have been located or deleted from the project." What should I do here? I have not modified any of my files.     - Video captured is jerky and audio out of sync Video source is VHS-C analog camcorder. It has worked OK in the past with MovieMaker 2.1. Latest video looks OK when played back through camcorder's viewfinder, but when "capturing" video the picture becomes jerky (instead of fluid and smooth) after about the first 20 or 30 seconds and the audio goes out of sync from the video.     - Problem capturing video from DV device. Hello, I have been having a problem with capturing video from my Sony DV camera. When I capture video from it, the video appears "blocky" and in very bad color quality. I have used the exact same tape, camera, and wire to capture to a different computer, and it turns out completely fine. I have also used this same camera and computer to capture video about a year ago and it turned out fine as well. What could have changed this in that time?     - WMM hang - Memory page faults ? Clear list ? I am occasional user of WMM V2.1.4026.0 Physical memory = 1gb. AMD 3200+ Issues creating a movie from my digital camera: details on app locking up below. Anyway to tweak XP SP2 to " work nicely" with WMM ? I see WMM page faults a lot and wondering WHY ? It shows 49k in use and it's page faulting ? I see lots of free memory -why is it pagefaulting ? I manually set virtual memory pagefile to 2gb - 4gb I have VM set to have Windows autoadjust - same thing I do find that if I create a project and save it frequently as I'm building it it works fine. But in a few months I'll forget and after a hang or two, then I'll remember to save it - exit - reopen - add etc. Is the "trick" just to save the project to disk often ? While building a movie using jpg's and avi's from my digital camera, I can add files/video until movie is 5,6,7, minutes long and then I'll go to add one more thing and it locks up. Task Mgr shows 99% of CPU usage and memory usage will increment by 2 ,8 maybe 20 pages. Page faults will show a few times a minute. Then I remember " this happened last time too". It'll hang the job forever. Just prior to me clicking on the next video name, I might have added a file , sometimes I would have played the movie back a bit with no sign of a problem. But JUST AS I click on that next item - it locks up: the WMM window will not respond. I don't know " Was the reason for the hang the fact that I clicked on that next avi to add, or had it really hung while playing back ?" If I click on my " desktop" shortcut, the desktop responds, I can go to the internet / email etc - everything else is fine. If I didn't know that job was hung, I'd never notice.     - Audio Ok, now that I have a new PC with WindowsXP2, I decided to try out the Moviemaker program. I know people are using it so I thought it would be a simple thing to put some video clips and music together. I got the video added, and the music on the Audio track,added Titles ,trimmed it to fade at the end and saved the file and had it copied to my video folder. When it played back with WMP there was video edited like I wanted but no audio from the music I had on the preview!     - Can't connect to Sony TRV33 Hi. I can see my Sony DV Device in the 'available devices' window within the 'Video Capture Wizard', however when i click on it WMM gives me an error message "a problem was encountered when trying to connect, check your capture devices and try again". I'm using a firewire cable and I've tried the WinDV free software and that works fine to upload the AVI file from this camera to my Media centre pc. This tells me the problem is not likely hardware.     - Clips Refuse to Play I uploaded some videos from my Sony CDR-SR42 camcorder and I imported them onto Windows Movie Maker. When I add them to the timeline and I click on one of the clips and press the play button it refuses to play. At times, it says that it is playing and it shows the seconds passing by but there is just a black screen with no audio. Eventually, the program would freeze and shut down.     - Problems with saving it as a movie ok heres how it go's. I was making a video game movie using many clips. Now...I was moving them into a folder, then importing it from that folder. Then after that i would move it out into a different folder. Later...After I edited everything. I clicked the "browse for missing clips" optiion. And found it for everything. However it seems I cannot save them all. I have moved the files to all the folders that they were every in with copy and paste. I believe i have enough memory. supports vcd playback. it is reading as a cd and saying no audio files. did
