    - image quality in final movie is poor, and other q's I've used WMM to make a video slide show and have used jpeg images that were high quality. I've saved it as an .avi file on my hard drive and the image quality is quite poor when I view it on my monitor, and even worse when I view it on my TV (via CD version). Is there any way to restore the image quality? Also, can you please explain how to save the original project in a format so I can burn it to a DVD that will play on my DVD player? I'm using Nero 8 to burn the final files. And can you recommend how to add pan/scan features to the movie images without going back and recreating the show in Photostory (which I've never used). Many thanks in advance for some advice. I'm stuck! Robin Finally, I also notice that there are "flashes" of light appearing when some images are shown. Is this an artifact of my computer, or is it a problem when the movie was compiled? I'd like to remove it. I've spent a crazy amount of time on this project already and I'm getting frustrated.     - audio and video out of sync when i create a movie, the audio and video slowly become more and more out of sync. if i watch the video clip outside of mm the audio is fine, but when i watch what i have created in mm the audio always becomes off the farther into the movie i get. however, if i just pick a spot halfway through the clip, or anywhere on the clip, and play from there, the audio will be fine for a while, but then get out of sync again. how do i stop this from happening?     - Help with wav on speed up/double effect I had to shorten my video by about half so I added the speed up/double effect. When I did the audio skips and is slow all the way through.     - Saved .avi not same as .wmv When I save my project as DV-AVI (so I can burn it to a DVD) Movie Maker adds a clip into the resulting .avi! This doesn't happen when I save the file as a .wmv.     - problem with finished project; hangs on one frame For a year now I've been working on a slide show with music and transitions for my in-laws 50th anniversary. I've saved it to my computer and a cd, but when I try to play them they only get so far (one gets 10 min in and the other gets halfway through the 47 min.) then it freezes on one frame and continues to play the music.     - Windows DVD Maker Shuts Down Computer I have Windows Vista Home Premium (there's apparently no newsgroup for Windows Movie Maker or Windows DVD Maker on Windows Vista) and I've created a nine-segment storyboard in WMM that covers about an hour and a half.     - Music on Pix DVDs I have finished a 14 minute music picture DVD. The preview plays fine on the computer. When I put the DVD into a player (and I have tried several) the music is badly garbled for the first 2-4 minutes (it varies), then straightens itself out and plays fine the rest of the way. I hadn't been able to use Movie Maker's narration feature for a while, getting a message about the audio device being in use by something else.     - Soundtrafk on my video doesn't match the right clips I've never had this happen before. On my current movie, which I downloaded via my :Dazzle" converter, from camcorder to computer, once it completed the transfer, I played the movie and the firsts part of the audio played right on into the second portion and took away that dialogue. So I tried eliminating this by re trasferring the old video, abd beginning at the 2nd section. It continues to keep the dialogue from the deleted portion on it. I am using xp movie maker to capture the video to computer an then would like to burn to dvd (on occasion would like to edit first). My question is, when the Video capture wizard pops up, I am not sure wich quality to select (dv-avi, high quality ntsc, video for Lan 1.0 Mpbps, etc).     - not getting full movie in playback after saving Hello, I've tried saving this movie about 5 different times and everytime i play it back there is something different wrong. At first one of the transitions was messed up but now the last 5 minutes of pictures won't play, but the music plays out. This is a combo of pics (jpegs) and music.     - File size issue Hi all, I have created a few videos and Im having a problem with the size of them. I'm on a fairly old machine (13gb) using XP. I originally had a huge problem with frame dropping but overcame that by using another program to capture the footage from my camera and then importing it into moviemaker to fiddle with it. Now each file 8 minute piece is over 1gb (in .avi format) - lol .. its putting a strain on my hard drive. I want to decrease the size of each file.     - Translating MOV Files To Something WMM Will Support I have an Olympus Stylus Verve digital camera with video capture abilities. I'm running MM 2.1 on XP and capturing video from a Sony HandyCam The video is all captured but gets automatically broken up into clips. e.g....I'm capturing a 25 second (approx) segment of video.     - .wmv file HUGE! I just tried the program this week - ALL week - simple, I thought. Take all the pics from the big party, add music and send it to everybody who was here and family who couldn't make it... not. the finished file was nearly 5 mg, but when I saved it as a movie, it ballooned to 15 mg! I 've got a file i want to edit, specifically want to delete a video effect done with letters. the only way i see to do this, is to edit the movie, clip by clip and modify the 25 clips involved in the video effect. that's a lot to do considering that I plan to edit every clip in Paint. and bring it back to the movie.
