when I try to import my dvd movies from a sony dcr-dvd 108 handycam
I get this error message

mpg could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events
from

someone suggested I need to buy a whole other program (ULEAD) and someone
else said I need drivers?
it shouldn't be this difficult I would think?
any help would be appreciated.
thanks!

All this 'you need to convert' and 'it doesn't support Mpeg2' seems like a
load of hogwash to me.
When I first used my Sony DCR-SR90E, about 8 months ago, I quite happily
managed to make movies with the Windows program. Now, out of the blue, it
doesn't work!
Microsoft are a bunch of money-grabbing w**kers and offer absolutely NO HELP
WHATSOEVER!
Boycott their rubbish software and BUY something decent (if there's anything
out there...) That's what I'm going to do. If they can't make their crappy
little tools work well enough, why should we waste our time with them?
I'm seriously considering moving over to Mac.
Bill Gates, I doubt you'll ever read this, but pull your finger out and
provide us with something we can actually USE!
I'm SICK of microsoft products failing to perform..!

I ecpect you'll be happy using your Mac now so won't be reading this, but a
programme not designed to work with mpeg2's will not work properly with
Mpeg2's.

Go complain when your toaster won't boil a jug of water :) See who takes
notice of you then.
