Is it possible to edit pieces of a movie out with Movie Maker? I've imported
a DV video camera movie into Movie Maker in the avi format. Is it only
possible to shorten the beginning or end of the movie, but not to edit out
pieces within the movie? Am I misunderstanding the help tutorial? If Movie
Maker can't edit this way, what would you suggest I use? Thanks for helping
a frustrated noob user!

=============================
Drag the video clip to the Timeline.

Play the video by clicking the "Play"
button under the view screen.

You will see the Playback Indicator
(vertical line) advancing across the
timeline.

Click the "Pause" button at the point
where you wish to trim and type...
Ctrl+L or click the "Split" button at the
bottom of the view screen.
(you can also make adjustments by
dragging the Playback Indicator)

Make as many splits as you want and
remove the unwanted clips by right
click / delete.
