I heard about movie maker, I own a digital camcorder so I
went to buy a good computer with XP so I could download
the (FREE) movie maker ...well it does not work and the
more I search the more I find out the tons of problems
with the program....and I try to get help and they send
me to the guy I bought the PC from and he tells me that
he does not provide technical support with a program
downloaded from Microsoft, I go back to Microsoft and
they tell me I got to pay..........what a joke

You will have to be more explicit than *well it does not work* if you expect
people here to try to help you.
This is a great ng, so I'm sure somebody will help , if they can.
I have to say that there is nothing easy about it, I'm still havimg problems
myself! :-)

Welcome to the party! Only I paid for my movie maker
through a purchase of a computer. I have the same
problem. Happy hunting for answer to the solution.

Perhaps then you can tell me how you delete it off the system? It did work
until I updated to version 2. Mow it just hangs before displaying the video
source selection dialog. Doesn't seem to be listed in Adfd/Remove etc. so
I'd like to know how I remove it and possibly just get version 1 back?

You can't totally remove Movie Maker, but you can revert to version 1. See
