I've made a movie in Windows Movie Maker, then realized that it won't work
with regular DVD player.
I saved it as DV-AVI file on my computer (3GB).
Tried to open the .AVI file from Pinnacle Studio 8, it won't recognize the
file
Tried to use Nero and it won't recognize the file neither (I can use some
help here as well on how to convert the .AVi to a DVD)
Downloaded ULEAD converter, and it gave me error that 'failed to save
destination file'. I check that my harddrive (where my destination is) has
6GB space.
How do I make this work so i can get a DVD player compatible disk?

PapaJohn,
I actually went to your web link and found that the link to Canopus is wrong
and the Canopus.com website is hard to find the sw you're referring to (it
had so many types of conversion that I'm confused).
I downloaded ULead, and tried to convert the AVi file from Movie Maker, but
it gave me error 'failed to save destination file' w/o any help on why it
failed.

Canopus's whole site has just been redesigned, then they went and sold the
company!!!!
I can't find it either, all the general utilities have been moved to a
log-in state, but the converter is missing. I'll carry on trying to find it.

Nero's dvd authoring program (Nero Vision / Nero Vision Express) should
import dv-avi files from moviemaker without any problems. are you trying to
open the file as a project rather than hitting the "import movie" button ???

I agree with KDE.
All the programs you listed in your post work just fine with DV-AVI files
from WMM.
You said the filesize is 3GB's how long, in minutes, is the video?
I am asking because it sounds like there is a problem with the AVI file and
you may need to render it again.
Have you tried playing the AVI with your Media Player?
