Hi there,

Does anyone know if there is a way to lock an item to a
video clip? i.e. attach a text overlay to a clip so that
if you move a clip the overlay moves with it? It's
getting very annoying having to adjust everything after I
make a minor change to one of my video clips.

Thank you,

Carlo.

Carlo,

There's no feature to do it.... best to leave the final adjustments until
the end of the project so you don't get too annoyed.

Thanks PapaJohn. That's what I was afraid of. Sigh...

Carlo.

This is a pitiful "feature" in the Movie Maker software! I spent about an
hour trying to find the "lock" tool, to avoid the problem that Carlo was
having. Then I asked my sister who knows a lot about photo editing. She
recommended this board, and now I see that it's just a (typical) product
failing of Microsoft's!

How stupid is it that you have to have ALL of your video absolutely perfect
before you start adding music and titles . . . otherwise be faced with
eternal time-shifted damnation, should you add or subtract any video at the
end?

VERY STUPID.

Now that's a little over the top in MS bashing when you resort to posting a
reply to a thread that is 6 months old.
