How do I get a .VOB into WMM

I have made a DVD from a VHS video on my DVD cecorder, how can I get it into
WMM to edit and then burn to a DVD to play on normal DVD players.

I have tried converting to .avi using RAD Video tools; the file goes from
1.04GB to 4.19GB it tries to import to MMM but locks up.

All I need to able to do is edit a DVD, which was made from a VHS tape in a
Sony DVD recorder and burn it on to a DVD to play on basic video player

Hope you can help

First go download tthe 21 day trial of Elecard MPEG-2 Decoder and Streaming
Pack at
http://www.elecard.com/products/products-pc/codec-pack/149/mpeg2-decoder.
Then change the extension of your VOB files to MPG or MPEG.
Now you are ready to import your videos to MM. It is the only MPEG-2 decoder
that works in MM2 (powerdvd se, intervideo or sonic/roxio cineplayer decoder
do not work correctely or not at all).
