When I try and import an MPEG file into WMM is get the error message "an
interface has too many methods to fire an event from". But I can't find any
useful information that explain what would cause this error and how to fix
it. Can anyone out there advise please?

The movies were taken on a SONY DCR-DVD403E.

MM does not work well with mpegs and is not going to work at all with yours.
Your choices are;
Convert the file to something MM can use, such as dv-avi or wmv
see www.papajohn.org and look for the importing dvd section
OR
Buy an app which will accept mpegs, I used Ulead videostudio9 when I reviewd
the then new sony dvd cams

OR
Use the app which came with the cam.
