    - Video Transitions,effects. Hi. I have used Movie Maker 2.o before and have had 0 problems. Now, I'm still using 2.0 and am trying to add video transitions& effects but each time I drop them to the storyline the program ends immediately. I have plenty of space on my hard drive and my virtual memory is a bit low, but shouldn't affect that as such. Do I need to expand my paging file so I have more virtual memory? or should I reinstall windows xp again? I have service pack 1.     - Can't burn to CD I see someone else has the exactly the same problem as me (computerilliterate an 21st Dec), so at least it is not a one off. When I try to burn a movie to CD it says it is preparing the movie, gets to 58%, and will go no further. I have to cancel, at which point I get a message that it has not finished saving the movie and am I sure? Any suggestions? I am using XP Home SP2. Or how about a work round? I thought of saving the movie to my hard drive then copying it to CD.     - Wheres the Color in preview? I recently put a TV card in with a Cable connection into my PC. I hooked up a VCR to convert the video. If I use the software that came with the Card I get color. If I use WMM2 the File comes out as Black and white. I Have been looking in the Forums and tweaking but the result does not change.     - Black & White Capture I have connected my Sony DCR-TRV350 using s-video cables that go through the ATI TV Wonder Pro Video Adapter. The adapter is an s-video/composite video adapter however when I try to capture my video from the tape, it appears in black and white. Anyone encounter this before and possibly have a solution?     - No Audio from Video in Timeline Preview I've made a couple of short videos with MM, and I've never had any problems. The other day, I started a new project, and placed a few clips in the timeline. When I previewed it, all of sudden, there was no audio. When I highlight the clip in the folder, and hit play on the preview screen, there is audio, but when I highlight the timeline and hit play, it doesn't play the audio. Also, at the same time, I have no system sounds for my computer. I've checked all of the drivers and audio settings and everything seems fine.     - OT: soundtrak suggestions please Hi everyone, I could use some suggestions from fellow users. I'm putting together a slide show of my son's first year to give to my parents and in-laws for Christmas. He was born 12/30/2003, and I have some great pictures and video to use. My problem is I'm having a hard time thinking of a good song to put along with my pictures. I've got Louis Armstrong's "Wonderful World", but that's just a little over 2 minutes long, so I need another song (or two) to fill out my aproximately six minutes of pictures and video. I thought about using a few songs from the Baby Einstein soundtrak, but those don't really go well with Wonderful World (and I really want to use that one since a number of the beginning pictures are in the delivery room right after he was born and when we first brought him home).     - Analog capture in Full NTSC I'm trying to capture footage from VHS and I want to get the best possible rez so I change the video settings to 720x480 but when I try to capture I get an error which says "the video device is currently in use. Close any other applications.....". I'm using a PCI tuner card w/ composite input and I've checked all the settings. Seems the original SP2 install capped the download speed a S100 instead of permitting the S400 speeds that video capture prefers. I've been working on this christmas gift slide show-like movie and when I go to save it to a cd it says I should check the space in the cd, make sure all my sources are there, and see if there's a big enough file to keep it in. The color quality is overblown with green and yellow hues.     - Difficulty in rendering transitions - Q to Papa John I produced a 15 minute ski movie with plenty of short action clips and many transitions (including some of MM2 winter transitions) and movie maker 2 refuses to render this to DV AVI (but will to WMV9 - highest quality PAL). If I take out all the transitions it renders quickly to DV AVI but obviously screws up the look and feel of the movie without the transitions. I also get the occasional skip in the music backing track which I see described elswhere as being attributable to MP3 files when rendering directly to Dv AVI. I see a solution for music problem is to render to WMV then drop that back in as a single clip to MM2 and render again to DV AVI which works first go for the music. My question is ---- isnt this killing the quality of my video? ie first to WMV and then to AVI? by the way I have a recent high spec machine with 1 gig of ram and separate 120gb hard disk only for movies and am at a loss to understand the transitions rendering issue.     - Runtime Error R6025 Running XP Pro, MM2.1 and SP2. Every time I export my movie back into my DV camera, it stops at the same point (29%) and just hangs. see the Importing Source Files > Video > MOV page of my site.... I use Rad
Video Tools to convert them to AVI.
