I use Cyberlink Powerproducer Gold to create DVDs after creating movie bits
in MM which I then save in wmv format using Papajohns settings. This process
gives me supurb guality for my DVD. However Powerproducer has suddenly
stopped importing the wmv files, it gives me an error. Avi and Mpeg work
fine. Cyberlink tech has been little help. Uninstalling and reinstalling
Powerproducer has not helped. Has anyone else experienced this problem or
have any suggestions?

Had you made any changes to your pc since it last worked that may be
interfering? Such as codecs / programmes etc?
Try system restore back to when it owrked.
Also, have you changed the properties of the wmv or still using the same
profile etc?

Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately I don't know what changes were made.
I had not used the program for about two months and other family members had
access to the PC while I was away. PowerProducer worked fine before I left. I
didn't try restore point because of the time lapse. The wmv properties are
the same.
