I'm trying to edit a home movie.I've been successful in capturing from a analog camera.Yesterday I brought all the clips on the story line and then started to trim parts that I do not need. I saved and so far so good. When I opned the project today, all the clips are compressed and I cannot seem to be able to start the set trim set point and end trim point. Also the sound is very bad. Is there anyting I can do to improve it?

When you say 'compressed' do you mean that the timeline is
compacted? If so, click the + sign and it will expand
(zoom in). Hope that helps.
