files missing, delete, but can't import again

I hv play back problem in MM.
so I delete them, but I can't clear the contents from "Imported media". It
doesn't show file name, however, I still can see clip name and duration etc.
I try to import back the same file again, but error appears.
It says "... .jpg could not be imported. The selected item has been deleted
from the project. To use this item in your movie, import the original file
again."
Can somebody assist?

It sounds like you have deleted the picture form your computer, you need to
get the picture back on the pc and then tell MM where it is.
