.mov files

How do I change a .mov file into a format that moviemaker 2 would regonize. My Kodak Digital Camera records movies in .mov files but MovieMaker 2 can't use them because it can't regonize them as a compatable video format
I tried some freeware converters but it watermarks the movie and wrecks the thing so can you help me.
