error "the volume of selected music too low"

I finished capturing the video and music. The music was captured from a
downloaded cd to Media Player. When previewing, the timeline is fine with
pictures and music. I can hear the speakers low buzz but can't hear the
music. the above error comes on when editing automovie. Hope someone can help.
