error 1904 module c:/programme etc

I went to the mocrosoft site and EVENTUALY downloaded
moviemaker, (twice) (dont ask)
The second downmload seemed ok but when I double clicked
on the icon to install it started did a fair bit then
said I had an "error 1904 module c:/programme
files/moviemaker/wmm2filt.dll failed to register. HRESULT
contact your support personnel". and I went and read what
error 1904 meant but i couldn't understand what it was
talking about.
I think it is something that we haven't got ticked or
installed somewhere.
I tried again to install movie maker and I get the
message,

I have no idea what this means!
I need movie maker on my system,I have looket in
start/programme files/accessories/entertainment. and it
isnt there!

Hi Pat,

I don't know the reason for the error message - all I know about resolving
issues when MM2 won't install are on the Problem Solving... MM2 Will Not
Install page of www.papajohn.org

If one way to install doesn't work, try another.

Hello Pappajohn,
Thank you for your reply anyway, I would like to visit
your web site to read your pages but when I try to get to;
http://www.papajohn.org I keep getting page wont load.
After I post this I will try again as hopefully this will
create a direct link which might even work for me (but I
doubt it)

Have you tried to register it manually using regsvr32?
If that does not work see if you can find the failling module using
DependencyWalker
