    - How to capture Movie Clips I'm not sure on what to look for on my computer to see if I have the capability to capture video from my camcorder. I have a Digital 8 Sony DCR-TRV330 CamCorder. There is a connection spot on my Camcorder for a USB connection and there is a DV Input\Output connection. I have some of the WMV and AVI files that I need to convert to CDA format somehow. I have a friend who sings karaoke and she needs them. The songs that she has been using is in the CDA format which seems to be all that her machine can use. Is there a special program I need? I have a cd burner and I can burn other music just fine.     - Titles in MM2 URGENT i AM MAKING A SHORT VIDEO BY DRAGGING CLIPS DOWN TO THE TIMELINE, AS USUAL.     - music background Have completed 30 min MM2 video back to tape with camera audio on audio line and narration on audio/music line OK. But when I try to add music background to narration on audio/music line it won't let me. I have tryed both ways that Microsoft white papers have said would work. 1)Place musc at end of narration on audio/ music line and drag music over narration, 2)Drag music from collections and place over narration on Audio/Music line. Neither seem to work.1) When trying to drag music from end of narration line it refuses to drag over the narration. It stops when it meets the end of the narration. 2) When draging from collections and dropping on narration, the narration disapears and all I have left is music.     - Ordering collections I have made my first Movie Maker 2 video. 3,20 minutes about skiing. Now number 2 about the Faroe Islands is about to start - and here my question (I feel extreemely dumb): When I open the MM2 the collections and movies from the first film still shows. How do I save and delete them so I can start from scratch with the 300++ pictures and films for the next project? Of course I can just delete them (ALT A and delete) from MM2, but I might get the idea to nudge a little more with my first (and other earlier projects) film later. Are there a possibility to save the "Environment" around a film and then start a new from scratch - but then later recall an "Environment" from an earlier film. I have been looking at the most recent Windows XP Official Mag and find that it co0ntains some useful programs. One of these programs is by Magix and is called Movie Edit Silver.     - Audio problem with DV (AVI) output, recode codecs doesn't help I have the same problem mentionned a couple of times in this group: When I choose DV as the output format of my final movie I have thes audio errors at every transition. This doesn't happen when I choose wmv as the output format, but for some reasons Nero Vision Express has rpoblems with this and ends the transcoding with an error message after minutes or hours.     - Regarding MM2 Shutsdown Post - 6/12/04 Fixed By mistake, I had converted my wmv file to mpeg2 when I wanted to save it for a VCD. I had saved it into the below mentioned folder. It took some fast fingers and a restart of explorer to delete the file. But, when I got it deleted, ALL program shutdowns for any program I used to access this folder and the Explorer restarts while trying to access this folder are history. Thank You to all those who tried to assist me on this matter. Below is the post on 6/12/04 MM2 shutdown when the file selection window opens after clicking on Import Video. The default window that is opening is \My Documents\My Videos. I only see it open for about 2 seconds then MM2 shutsdown. I found that not only does MM2 shutdown while trying to open \My Documents\My Videos but, Windows Explorer restarts, Windows Media Player shuts down and all other video software. The only exception to this is the Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 and its bundled programs that came with my DVD burner. So I unistalled the Ulead suite and everything works fine now. Would some one please suggest a DVD software program that will do what the Ulead bundle is supposed to do and NOT conflict with my other programs?     - New to this? sdvideo I have two tapes recorded using a Sony DSR-PD100A camcorder. I also have a xp machine with moviemaker and a svideo cable. I connected the cable to the computer and camera.     - Suggestions I think it would be a really really good idea to put a DVD burning feature in Windows Movie Maker, or at least a VCD feature. It would be nice if you could make professional menus with moving buttons and backgrounds and background music, and be able to burn in onto a DVD.     - HELP TRYING TO BURN MM2 MOVIE TO DVD Hello, I have read a lot of posts from PapaJohn when helping Tiffany's issue. I to am having an issue close to hers. But, I am helping my mother-in-law with a 41 minute slide show of pictures. For some reason I am not able to "save as" then rename the file with a (AV, WMV ect..) It puts the WSWMM extension on it. I am unable to get it to play at all. She is using Sonic My DVD and has burned movies in the past, as I have assisted her in this. However, this time it isn't working at all. It starts to convert and gives an error message that the file is in use by another program. Nothing is open at all, I even looked in the processes and nothing that I could see was running associated with MM2. It also stated something about the log file. The kicker is, it is for a wedding in two weeks. Tonight I was going to uninstall the Sonic My DVD and try reinstalling it to see if that will work at all. Any help would be great! From you're description I'm not exactly sure which history you're talking
about in Moviemake but if you have a file in the collections view, you can
just select it and press the delete key. If you're talking about the most
recent projects which show up within the File menu then they're stored in
the registry under the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MM20\Recent
