Use avicodec or Gspot to find out which codec was used to make your avi
file, then see if you have that codec installed on your pc.
WARNING - do not install a codec pack, find just the one you need.
If the file is any other type of avi than dv.avi - IT WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY
in movie maker.
