I am making a movie and did clips in pieces thinking I could add them
together but Moviemaker won't let me do that.....anybody no why it won't let
me, or is there a way to do it?

What exactly do you mean it won't let you do it?
It won't let you select them in the collection and "combine" them because MM
didn't split them up, you did.
But it will let you put them in your timeline one by one and in that way
they will be combined in your final product.
If you want, simply, to combine a few particular clips without any other
formatting etc.. you can simply drag those clips to the timeline and save
your movie thereby combining those clips.

Yeah, I think Stcair1 means that it won't let him cuz he can only import one
at a time. Just import one, and drag it to the timeline, then go get
another one,
drag it to the timeline and so on. Wojo as much as said this, so i'm only
re-iterating what a guy that stayed at that Holiday Express last night!!! LOL

lol
You can import all of them at once by selecting all of them but they will
show up as separate collections.

I tried to do that but it gives me an error message that says :
The file C:\Documents and Settings\NewRandy\My Documents\My Videos\Fans
Ver2.MSWMM is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into
Windows Movie Maker. So where do I go from here?

You can't import a project file.... you open it and save a movie from it...
then import the movie.
