cineplayer decoders

when I try to work with video on my movie maker a message comes up that says
the cineplayer decoder has not been activated. you must activate the product
before use. please run the player that included this decoder in order to
activate the product. Please let me know how do I do this.

That would be the Sonic application that often comes with Roxio.
