I am so new to this. I keep coming up with more questions.
I have a new Sony TRV-280 dig. handycam. My old one which used the Hi8 8mm
tapes, no longer works. I want to turn those tapes into DVD eventually. I
keep seeing I should just by a recorder. However, I recently discovered that
my new camcorder will not playback the regular hi8 or 8mm tapes. How can I
even watch my old tapes now if I cannot playback on my new camcorder let
alone record them. AND, is it even possible to make the DVDs w/ the computer
and Camera, not the recorder?

Thanks!
Julie

Maybe there's some type of adapter that
will allow you to view the tapes in a VCR?
