dvd burning

i have made many movies with movie maker...but this last one i have made will
not burn to a dvd??? i have followed the directions through the program and
it will not work like before. i have also tried using a 3rd party program and
it will only burn half of the movie. it is a 20 min movie??? could it be to
long?
any input is greatly appr.

You supply too little detail?
Is it the first time you have used the specific blank media
that you are having this problem with? Or is it blank disks
that you know work with your burner?
What authoring software are you using?
What error message do you receive when burning fails?
Have you upgraded the burners firmware?
What file type are you trying to burn to DVD?
Are you attempting to burn "on-the-fly"? That is, have you
created a DV-AVI file, and are atempting to burn direct to
DVD? If so, it may just be a too demanding a task for your
PC.
Have you attempted to initially "burn" as an image to Harddisk
then copy to DVD? (That is much easier a task).
Supply more details.
