Hi, I use ATI "All in Wonder" to capture video, but find that the volume of
the resulting mpg is too loud. I can find no control that allows me to
control this excess. I then use Nero Express to create a DVD but still have
no volume control. So end up having to process the mpg thru TMPEnc to reduce
the volume to 70% obviously using a lot of computer power to perform such a
simple task.
Have I missed something in the ATI or Nero configuration or parameter
settings?

The volume needs to be reduced in the system, not the app. Start > Control
Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume > Advanced and adjust the input to
the sound device that is used for Video Recording.

Tried that, no effect, even with the system master volume muted, still the
video captured has audio present and too loud.

In Nero Vision Express, once you import a movie in, you can choose to "edit"
the movie and there is a control for volume.

Is that the output system master volume? This is different to the INPUT
volume control, if you are connected via the line in of the sound card, then
adjusting the *line in volume control* will have an effect.
