Used Movie Maker and all was well. Saved to my PC and when I playback in WMP,
the title and music are fine, then when the video starts, the screen is black
but I can hear the audio perfectly. About 10 munutes in, the next part of
video is visible!

Can you help?

Update,

Just to let you know, the camera says MPEG4 on it. I take the vids from it
onto my PC and they save as WMAs. I then bring the clips intp WMM, add
titles, credits, transitions etc.. When I play it in WMM all is well. Save
onto my PC and replay in WMP, titles are there but no vid!
I made a movie in November with the same camera and with WMM, no probs.

Normally you'd need to convert the mpeg4's to wmv or avi to work.

It automatically converts them. From what I've been able to see, a lot has
been mentioned about codecs. Where should I go to get these, what ones do I
need and what to do wioth them?
If anyone has any idea about codecs, please reply. Cheers!

What is automatically converting them? MM won't.

XP automatically converts them to Windows Media files when I drag them from
cam (removable drive via USB) onto my PC. When I look in 'My Videos' folder,
the video files are all WM files.

Ok, I'm with you now. Movie maker does not work well with mpegs and you
aren't capturing these files just transferring them, and MM is doing all it
can with trying to recognise them.
You need to convert them to an avi or wmv before loading into MM which will
then see them.
