I cannot see video (only electronic noise) in the preview pane when I want to
capture video from my DV camera device. I am able to control my camera device
from the Moviemaker application but I just cannot see (preview) the video to
set my capture in and out points. I can actually capture the video but I
cannot preview it to see what I am capturing.
My Specs are 3.6 GHz HT Intel P4, 1G RAM, n-VIDIA 6600 250MB Graphics, DVI-D
connection to LCD monitor, IEEE1394b/i-Link/Firewire connection to DV camera.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nice specs. At this stage I'd say check for updates on graphics card
drivers, if overlay is on, then turn it off and you have checked the show
preview during capture box?

Thanks Graham. I will give these suggestions a try. How do I turn off overlay?

Thanks again Graham.
Your advice to update my graphic card drivers worked. I can now see the
video in the preview pane during capture.
However, I cannot hear any audio while previewing during capture until after
the video has been captured. I understand from a search on the WMM forum that
this is normal for WMM. Could you please confirm this.
Regards, and thanks again.
