When I try to insert a transition between clips, Movie
Maker shuts down and goes to desktop. Any ideas? I have XP

I had this same problem and i was able to fix it by changing either the resolution of the monitor or you have installed something recently that is not compatible with MM2

try uninstalling programs and keep trying

Remove the Nimo codec pack from your system. it is this pack that causes a
conflict with MM2
