I'm fairly new to the Movie Maker program, but I was wondering if it is
possible to add subtitles throughout the movie. Do I have to create them
separately and then mesh the videos together? Or is there an easier way? Got
some videos that don't have good sound so I need to add some subtitles to
them...

Dave,

Yes, you can add subtitles throughout..... what it has is great but limited
compared to other apps with text overlays.

also - finish your edit before you add them, making changes to the video
track can throw them out of sync and it can be a chore to line them back up
again if you have more than a few and you change the video track in more
than one place so a multi-select drag doesn't do it...
