Stupid question, annoying problem....help?

Everytime I try and open files that I am editing in Windows Movie Maker, it will load the project but whenever I go to play the movie or do anything to it in any sense...Windows Movie Maker closes! It doesn't close when I play files that I've captured and have in my "collections" but it instantly closes whenever I attempt to do anything to an edited project. Argh! What am I doing wrong? Please help someone, this is so frustrating!

As per Papajohn's advice I found and renamed the
codec "divxaf.ax" to "divxaf.ax_" and MM2 now works fine
in edit mode. Cheers

Try going to a new post I made a few minutes ago. Change the Direct X Override to Default. Worked for me
