I just downloaded the creativity_mmfull.exe file for WMM. Question is, when
I go to install it, it states that the creativity pack as well as "Windows

now, so will this creativity pack installation downgrade my WMM v2.1 to

length of clips driving me crazy.....help?!?!
Hi my name is beth and I am making a video of a bunch of pictures and
backgrounds for my best friend. The problem I am having is that I want to
make the length of alot of the clips longer. I was able to make them all
longer a few days ago. but I saved it and when I reopened it.. it had
condensed all of the pictures back to like a couple seconds each. I dont know
why it didnt leave them at the length I arranged them to. Well anyway, now
that they are condensed .. I dont even have the option to make them
longer..and i dont know why. Is there another way to make the clips longer
than draging them when that arrow shows up on the timeline screen?!?! its soo
frusterating and i just want it to work. I dont know if I am doing something
wrong or what, but im hoping you can help.. thx!!! Tag: Strongly recommended one very cheap dvd website Tag: 55878
Where Is The Snow Effect?
Hello,
I keep seeing reference being made to a falling snow effect in the Windows
Movie Maker 2 Winter Fun Pack, but I can't find it for the life of me. It's
not in the Videos folder of Fun Pack. All that contains is: Happy Holidays,
Happy New Year LONG, Happy New Year SHORT, Made With Movie Maker 2, Season's
Greetings SNOWBALL, Season's Greetings SNOWMAN and Wishing. No falling
snow! And it's not in any of the transitions or effects of WMM2, which I
think someone said it would be once Fun Pack is installed. What am I
missing? Where is the snow?
Thanks,

Almost there, but Audio Skips
Ok...I have resolved the video issue where MOST of the Video would save and
ALL of the Audio would save. To do this, I decreased my Hardware
Accelleration to ZERO and Removed all Codec Filters and then saved the Movie
as a DV-AVI file. This was a 310 JPG File with about 10 Music Files added.
NOW...I am having an issue with the Audio Skipping on me...

hardly kno what I'm doin' to be honest
Just got a new desktop with XP and have a Kodak camera that shoots video.
So, I did an experimental 10 minutes of video to see what it'd look like.
Then transfered the video I shot to a CD.
It was only after that, that I discovered Movie Maker on my pc. There were
instructions I found in a book on letting MM do the work automatically. But,
I couldn't seem to get the video transferred drom the CD to MM to work it's
magic.
I did see a clip in mm but couldn't import it or drag anything.
Gee, hard ta tell I'm new at this huh?
Would much appreciate any advice you may have.

Unable to fully transfer mpeg2 from H/drive to WMM.
I have mpeg2 movie clips on the hard drive of my IBM R50e laptop which would
not transfer fully into Windows Movie Maker. All I could get was the sound
track but no images. This was also the case on my other desktop computer.
Following a recent response you gave to another enquirer, with roughly the
same problem, I took the advise given and downloaded codecs from
www.rehanfx.org/utils/reregdlls.bat and had success with the desktop for
which I thank you for the advice given. The IBM laptop, however, still will
not allow images into WMM. Any info would be gratefully received!

Video Capture - Recognising source
I have a Dazzle DVC170 external USB card to convert my VCR analogue video and
audio. Device Manager confirms this is working properly although it appears
to think that it is a sound card rather than a video/sound card. It works
satisfactorily with Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder software.
However, Windows Movie Maker does not recognise this card as a capture

Importing video problem
I've used MM 2.1 numerous times over the past few years. Mostly to create
DVDs of family vacations. This week I ran into an issue I've never
experienced.
I captured a 67 minute video (DV-AVI) format from my Sony MiniDV the same as
I always have. The problem is that MM 2.1 only recognizes the first 2
seconds of the file. The entire 13.7 gb file is on my system as I can play
it in Media Player. I've tried importing it into MM a few different ways.
I've also tried re-capturing it a few times, but no success.
I'm using Windows XP SP2 and IE7. The only change to my system from the
last time I used MM would be the change to IE7.

Saved movie isn't saved
I have several movies I have created, put in all the photos, inserted the
transitions, created the title pages, inserted the audio and completed
everything except adding one or two extra photos. I clicked on "save project
as".... and saved it. But when I open the project again to add the extra
photos I didn't have handy when I developed the movie, I find all my photos
are gone. All replaced by large red X's. The title pages are there, the
transitions are there, the audio is there but almost but not quite all photos
are gone.
What is happening and what is causing this? A 12 minute movie should not be
that large that it wouldn't save properly.

Quality of video
Hi, I have been usign Macs but recently bought a secondhand Dell
(Optiflex GX260) for various reasons, but mainly so my children could
play a few PC games they had acquired. Because XP comes with Movie
Maker, I hitched up my camcorder (Sony TRV460) and downloaded a minute
or two of footage. And the quality once it is acquired by my PC is
TERRIBLE. Now why should that be? Would it have something to do with
the graphics card which came with the Dell? When I have previously
edited video on a Mac, the quality of ther footage is almost as good as
that when played on the camcorder. So why is Windows footage so much
worse? To see just how bad the quality is, take a lookl at

Movie Maker in Vista saves overly complex projects....
In Windows XP, a movie project can get too complex for the computer's memory
to handle when publishing the movie. Movie Maker in Vista is completely
different under the hood. If more memory is needed, it uses part of the hard
drive.
My first test was a movie of 8 hrs, 22 minutes... all video clips...
rendering a movie takes time... 18-1/2 hours later I had a 4.1+ GB wmv file
that was complete and played fine.
Sometimes a super slide-show is harder to render than a long string of video
clips. My second test was a 5-1/4 hour show that used 5,000 7-megapixel JPG
files from our recent vacation, a transition between each, and music
provided by 64 MP3 music tracks. Publishing to Vista's option for DVD
quality took 10-1/2 hours of rendering, and it produced a great looking and
sounding 2.4 GB WMV movie file.

MI5 Persecution: Capital Radio - Chris Tarrant
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=
-= Capital Radio - Chris Tarrant -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=
Capital Radio DJs have been "in on it" from the start. One of the first
things I heard in the summer of 1990 was from a Capital DJ who said, "If
he listens to Capital then he can't be all bad" (supportive, you see. We're
not bastards). Much of what came over the radio in 1990 is now so far away
the precise details have been obliterated by time. No diary was kept of the
details, and although archives if they exist may give pointers, the
ambiguity of what broadcasters said would leave that open to
re-interpretation.
In spring 1994, Chris Tarrant on his Capital morning show made an aside to
someone else in the studio, about a person he didn't identify. He said,
"You know this bloke? He says we're trying to kill him. We should be done
for attempted manslaughter".
That mirrored something I had said a day or two before. What Tarrant said
was understood by the staff member in the studio he was saying it to; they
said, "Oh no, don't say that" to Tarrant. If any archives exist of the
morning show (probably unlikely) then it could be found there; what he said
was so out of context that he would be very hard put to find an explanation.
A couple of days later, someone at the site where I was working repeated the
remark although in a different way; they said there had been people in a
computer room when automatic fire extinguishers went off and those people
were "thinking of suing for attempted manslaughter".
Finally, this isn't confined to the established radio stations. In 1990
after I had listened to a pirate radio station in South London for about
half an hour, there was an audible phone call in the background, followed
by total silence for a few moments, then shrieks of laughter. "So what are
we supposed to say now? Deadly torture? He's going to talk to us now, isn't
he?", which meant that they could hear what I would say in my room.

Saving Movie Maker Movies
This is the first post I have ever done, let's see if it helps me with my
question!
I have repeatedly tried to save a movie that has about 300 JPG files and 6
or 7 Audio Songs.
All together, the Movie Maker File is about 35 minutes in lenght. Each JPG
presents for 8 seconds and there is a transition for each JPG.
I have tried many times to simply SAVE the Movie to my computer. The
process seems like it is completing, but when I view the file that is created
(which is about 120MB saved using the default "best when played back on my
computer" setting), using Media Player, the file plays ALL of the AUDIO, but
stops changing slides about 20 minutes into the 35 minute movie. When it
stops, the last picture seen simply goes away and I view a black screen while
listening to the music!
I thought this may have been caused by a bad JPG. Nope....but I can't
figure it out yet....!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
