MM2 Stereo to Mono?

Hi,

Having transferred a Video8 tape from a mono Samsung camcorder to my PC via
a Canon DV camcorder I have the situation where the audio is effectively
stereo but with only one track!

Is there anyway I can convert this to mono or duplicate the track on the
other channel so it will play through both speakers on a TV etc?

Hello,

When importing from my old Analog mono camera I forgot to cross wire the audio,
and as there were many hours of capture that I did not want to do again, this
is a summary of what I did......

Download AUDACITY a great audio editor (free) Link on my website
Use Movie Maker to create just an audio track
Using Audacity import the audio
Delete the empty track and then create a new empty track
Copy the audio from the good track and paste it into the new empty track
Use the make STEREO option (It binds the two tracks)
Export the result
In Movie Maker Mute your original audio and import the file made with Audacity
and put it on the naration track
Save new movie file.

It sounds like a lot of effort but it only takes a few moments to do the
editing....the MM bit will take a lot longer than the rest of the above but
will not take all that long as there is no editing to compile
