Greetings all -

This morning I decided to render off some video from a
project that I just rendered yesterday perfectly and MM2
is now throwing an error at me:

"This project contains source files that are missing or
that have been modified after import. Your project
cannot be saved as a movie until the source files have be
located or deleted from the project."

Yes, grammatical errors and all, that is the exact error
message I get. The problem is, it's pure hogwash!

The DV-AVI file I am rendering from has stayed put, never
been renamed, never been editing the entire time. Now
MM2 is telling me it has changed.

Any workarounds for such an issue? Anybody seen this
happen before?

Papajohn - Chime in if you know. :)

Thank you all,
Andy A.

Hi there,

Movie Maker is known to throw its Teddy Bear in the corner every now and
then. Forgetting where things are is one of them.

One possible trick is to deliberately move your source files to another
location, then run Movie Maker which will obviously complain when you open
the project...but, you can then use the option available by right clicking
the files in movie maker and getting it to go search for the files....this
might rebuild the index for the project database...MIGHT!!!

Have you added anything else, like music, stills that it may be trying to
find?

Hi Scott,

Yep, that's Movie Maker. You can of course right click the Red X's and
show it where they all are.....bit of a drag though.
