I have an older Sony Hi8 camcorder that only has composite RCA and S video
outputs. My older Sony Vio computer has composite RCA and S video inputs. I
can view my movies through the computer as a T.V. input so I know that the
computer can detect and read the camcorder signals. For some reason, movie
maker does not recognize that my camcorder is plugged into the computer and I
just get the message, no capture device detected. I have tried everything I
know. I have Windows XT home version with all patches. My camcorder is
CCD-TRV75 NTSC.
