Well if they are a long way into the film then that's a lot of images to
load which takes time.
On top of that it will become very complex, likely too complex for the
computers resources, so you will have a hard time saving it to your
harddrive.
I recommend for your purposes making the movie in segments, saving the
segments separately, then putting them together at the end and mixing with
the audio.
