Check in device manager to ensure the firewire card is properly installed.
Did you use the same cable on both pc's? As cheap cables are often a pain,
causing much trouble.
If you did, ensure the cam is on, in vcr/playback mode and powered by the
mains and not battery and then plug and unplug the firewire lead a few times
and see if you can get a connection. If this works get a good quality cable.
If it doesn't. Unistall the firewire card. Turn off pc. Remove firewire
card. Turn on pc. Turn off pc. Refit firewire card, preferably in another
pci slot. Turn on pc and let it reload drivers.
If this doesn't work, repeat but when booting for the final time have the
cam connected and ready.
