    - syncronizing audio/multiple transitions Hi! I would like to make a "movie" with WMM (Vista). I imported a lot of photos, but I want to add audio (1 audio clip mp3). Is there the opportunity to syncronize audio and video? I try to explayn: reproduce 2-3-4 times the song during the slideshow so that every slide has the right duration? An other question: I would like to insert the same transition between all the slides (350). Have I to insert manually the transitions one-by-one?     - Windows Movie Maker I downloaded the update to movie maker and I am currently making a movie using pictures and sound and when I add the transition between my pictures I get the word "DEMO" in the background.     - Network performance in class room - clips on a file server Problem: In Movie Maker 2.1 editing clips (i.e. the length) is very slow and it takes seconds till the vertical blue line moves with the mouse when cutting. This is not in the beginning of a movie project, it happens regulary in the end of a project. In a class room we use 10 Windows XP SP2-Workstations. In each movie there are about 10-20 AVI-clips + 2 mp3 songs included + title + a few effects. All this is located on a file server. Video mostly as AVI, file size about 10-150 mb. It s a LAN-network with 100mb. I can think of 2 reasons: 1. The network is to slow. All student want to use the same clips. Often the project file is saved on the file server as well. For the preview window and for the thumbnails in the time line all the data has to come through the network from the file server. At the start of the project there is simply less data, because less clips are included in each movie so far. 2. The workstations are to slow. For the preview window and the decoding of the mp3 songs a lot resources must be used. Each work station has 1 GB RAM. Is this simply to less? Tag: Resolution of movies Tag: 65987

    - Newbie working with PAL I'm trying to make a "narrated slideshow" DVD, which will consist of several JPEG "slides" in sequence, and a narrator giving a presentation for the audio track. Here's what I've done so far: 1) Add the JPEGs and audio to WMM. The JPEGs are 640x480 (although the content is limited to a 560x420 zone in the center of the image, to correct for TV overscan problems). 2) Save the movie as "Video for Local Playback (2.1Mbps)" format, which seems to be about the highest quality I can get. (DV-AVI is certainly much bigger, but strangely is also a lot fuzzier). Anyway, that saves my movie as a large WMV file. 3) Load the movie into NeroVision Express (v3). Add some titles and menus. 4) Burn the movie to DVD with NeroVision Express. This works pretty well - the resulting DVD is pretty good quality. Now here's the kicker: I need to produce a DVD in PAL format for someone, something I know nothing about. So I'm not quite sure what to do. For instance, I see that I could change WMM to be in PAL mode instead of NTSC. Then, when I go to save in "Video for Local Playback (2.1Mbps)" mode, it will apparently save it at 25FPS instead of 30. So, does that mean the resulting WMV file is now in PAL format? Can I just load it into NeroVision Express as I did before, burn it to DVD, and presto, I now have a PAL format DVD? Or is it more complicated than that? I would greatly appreciate anyone who can help me make a working PAL DVD!     - Saving to PC I've added photos to my storyline, and when I preview, the whole thing takes only about 5 1/2 minutes. But, when I go to save it to my PC, it says that my movie is over 6 hours long. It's impossible to save it. What can I do? It's important that I don't lose what I've already done.     - add transitions to multiple slides at one time I have added the page curl from right transition for the first 8 slides but like it and want to do it for all 300 slides(pictures) at one time.     - HP Pavilion Media Center PC, Windows Movie Maker question This should be real simple: I have a Media Center PC, which means it's got one of those doors you open on the front with all kinds of inputs on it. Shouldn't I easily be able to hook up my camcorder outputs (composite) into the composite inputs and just capture what's on my camcorder? I start Windows Movie maker, but it only recognizes one capture device, and that's the Dazzle DVC 90. This just doesn't work. (not sure if it's the fault of Windows MM or the Dazzle) Shouldn't it show other capture device(s) ? I've also got a Hauppauge PVR-150 that works fine, so I would think it should show three capture devices. Please help - I'm stuck. FWIW, I'm running XP Home, that's what it came with.     - connecting vcr to E510 in order to capture vhs can someone please help. I've followed every instruction in the manuals and examples, but i can't get the movie maker to detected the vcr. I've bought every adapter RCA makes to connect the vcr. the instructions sound so simple"use the blue line-in connector to attach .....vcr.     - Audio "pop" at video transition Recently, I am experiencing a white noise "poping" sound at the place between video clips. Not all "transitions" have the problem, just sporatic. Sometimes just at the "cut" between and sometimes at a "fade" between. Is this caused by some audio filter, or transitions "bleeding" over into the control track? The input clips to my MM project have 980x852 resolution. The highest I get
as output is 720x480 (in 4x3 aspect ratio). That is too low to display text
properly. How do I get higher resolution output with MM?
