I don't know if MicroSoft picks up on this thread,
however, I've found a way to consistently cause MM2 to
crash. I can reproduce this problem 100% of the time.
Here's how:
Open MovieMaker and select Capture from video device.
When the wizard opens, select "Composite".
Select "Configure", then "Video Settings". If you select
anything other than the default 320x240 output size, MM2
will crash - but not yet.
Click "Next" three times to get to the "Capture Video"
screen. Select option "1" to begin capture. Program will
not crash here, however there's a subtle sign that a
crash is immenent. Observe the "Size of Video" field on
the screen. If it never increments beyond 3kb, then
guaranteed, when you "Stop capture" and click "Finish",
program will crash and all of your work goes bye-bye.
