    - Difficlty Saving As Movie File. Hello everyone! I am experiencing a difficulty with my movie maker! I really need some assistance, please!! I created a slieshow with photos and audio. In the preview looks fantastic! But. I've saved the project as movie1.MSWMM on my computer but I can't save my project as a movie file to my computer, or burn on CD or send via E-mail or any other options... Anyway, I got this message saying "Cannot Complete the Save Movie Wizard, Your movie was not saved successfully" and â??Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try againâ?? Now I'd like to know why movie maker can't save the files as movie but only to MSWMM? I've tried everything. All my files are there, it just doesn't make any cents I tested, i made another two, and few of really short ones, and still doesn't work Do I maybe need to reinstall my movie maker?     - Analog capture and conversion..... Bought a Pinnacle Studio 8 product for analog capture from both VCR and Analog Camcorder. Did a LOUSY job from the very start. Pinnacle doesn't tell you that you need to buy a separate sound card to capture the audio, as thier software does not use the resident audio inputs from most computers (I've tried 2 different machines) so that was an ordeal Yesterday, successfully captured (with Pinnacle) a VCR tape. Used WMM to "convert" the file. Took HOURS (on a brand new high end machine). Video came out choppy and lousy. So.... Now I guess I'm gonna try capturing from VCR to my digital camcorder and try it that way. WMM SHOULD allow for capture through someone else's capture card OR.. Pinnacle should make the captured file into something that other programs can use and use and recognize. It doesn't. It makes a proprietary file type that only Pinnacle can recognize (and consequently burn to DVD) but that didn't work either. Got an "error" when trying to get Pinnacle to burn the DVD.... oh well I'm starting to think that maybe I should buy one of those new VCR/DVD burner combos and the heck with all this wasted time and effort.     - Codecs? I have spent a ton of hours on a presentation but can't get it to burn to a CD. All of these are jpeg pics that I am trying to transfer. So does that confirm they are not CODECS? I have no idea what that even is? I can burn a smaller version of the same pics but when I do this one (just under 1000 pics) and I try to save it hangs up at the window where it shows the % left and the estimated minutes remaining.     - Preview of video input flickers I'm trying to capture video with my ATI card. I can hear the audio, and I can see the video - but it is full of lines and it flickers. It is also sometimes half solid green instead of the video image.     - There is NO CD BURNER I finished my first slide show. Added music, titles, effects, the works. Plays great. Save it to hard disk. Tried to put it on a CD and the program insists that there is no CD in my burner. WRONG. There is. Changed CD. Re-Started Windows XP. Nothing, same message. Read instructions to remove "imapi.exe" Such file is NOT in my computer. Tried to burn a DVD. Nothing. The software does not "see" that there is a DVD in the burner either.     - Cannot Save a Movie I just finished editing my movie but when I go to create it nothing happens. "Please wait while we create your movie" appears but it doesn't go any farther. Also when I try to play the entire storyboard it doesn't play. I put all the clips together without editing them and the storyboard played fine and the movie would save.     - Movie maker keeps shutting down I have a problem with movie maker shutting down. I have lowered the acceleration setting to 0, I have renamed the codec's - nothing seems to work.     - Saving Movie File I made a slideshow with still photos, transitions and audio tracks. When I save the project as a movie, it reads as 125MB. Then after it burns onto the hard drive, in my video folder it reads as 62MB. When I play the movie back on Windows Media Player, the audio runs through the entire sequence. However, about half way through the slideshow the pictures freeze and stop coming. I have tried re-saving half a dozen times. I cannot figure out why the project is not saving the entire slideshow, but rather just all the music and half the still pictures. Please help!     - Importing music The Movie Maker will not import music from my Microsoft Media Player 9 program. The music does not show up as existing at all in the My Music file even though it has been copied into the Media Player. Also, if I try to import the CD directly into the Movie Maker from the CD- Audio drive, it does not recognize the CD at all.     - Cannot copy to cd or transfer to dv camera I made a video using pictures of my daughter starting from when she was born to now for her graduation video. When I tried burning to cd, only some of the pictures were there but all of the music selections were there. And when I tried transfering to my sony dv camera to put on tape it says there is not enough disk space.     - Unable to save slideshow to CD or HD Hi to all Created my 1st slideshow with graphics files and audio on my HD. It all ran perfectly. I saved the project to my local HD.     - digital photos no longer in focus Ok I need some help. I have used Adobe Photoshop album to make simple slideshows. I don't do anything to the photos except drag them to the desired position. However when I do the same with moviemaker2 which provides so much more extras, the slideshow is clearly not in focus. It looks just slightly out of focus. The photos are taken with a 6.0 meg Fuji camera and again I don't do anything like resize them or change them for Adobe so I fugured it should be the same for moviemaker2.     - clips in Collections I have just capture from my camcorder 16 minutes of video using the Capture Video Wizard and the 'Start Capture' and 'Stop Capture' method. I then clicked on FINISH expecting to see a couple dozen clips populate the Collections area. What I got, however, was one long clip in the Collections area that has everything thing in it that I thought I was breaking into separate clips using the 'Start'/'Stop' procedure.     - Audio Mixing Is Window's Movie Maker capable of laying down a variety of music blending in the same "movie". I have filmed a wedding and want to have music only that I add. in the beginning; then the original sound track I imported from my digital camera into the computer; and finally, a mix of the original audio track with music that I add in the end for the recap. I discovered the Audio-levels option but it seems to only allow me to have a certain blend of original sound track from the tape to added music for the entire movie.     - Make transfer time shorter When I'm done filming and when I hook up my camcorder to transfer it to the computer, I need to shorten the time it takes to transfer.     - Can't Save Movie to Local File I'm experiencing an "all of the sudden" problem saving a Movie File. I'm attempting to save it to "My Computer" like I always do and then after completing the wizard it waits a few minutes and indicates that it's trying to write a Recordable CD format. At this point it just sits there (i.e. no % progress) and the number of minutes remaining is huge. I've been using Movie Maker for over a year and this just started happening this week. I've ensured that the save path is my local hard drive and even tried saving to another hard drive in the same system to see if that would work, but no luck.     - Loud Sound As Audio Fades In the movie that I'm making I use lots of audio/music clips (wav files). In almost all cases I only use a portion of the music clip -- fading it in or out as the situation requires. On many of the clips where I fade it out (before the actual clip ends) there is a loud noise/squawk right at the very end, just after the fade. It sounds terrible and readjusting the end of the clip makes no difference. It doesn't happen of every clip but it does happen frequently. Does anyone else have this same problem? Is there a solution? Thanks in advance. Note: I'm playing my first MovieMaker project tomorrow (Saturday) night for 150 people!     - TabletPC capture problem ? Any ideas ? I have 2 laptop computers that I use. I use an OranLink FireWire CardBus, that I move from laptop to laptop. One has Win 2000 Pro and WinDV, for example, works great. Capture works every time - no problems whatsoever. My newer one runs XP Pro - it's a TabletPC from Toshiba (Portege 3500). I have read that the TabletPC version of XP Pro includes SP1. My other laptop, running Win 2000 Pro has all the current MS updates installed. Here is my problem. First off, my XP Pro laptop would not capture at all, so I started investigating. In desperation, I reinstalled XP Pro from the Toshiba recovery CDs and had the unit in factory condition. Nothing else installed except for the OrangeLink FireWire driver and WinDV. With nothing else installed, WinDV captures well. Everything works great then. But if I install any or all of the recommend security patches from MS - and there are several - capture is no longer possible. It will start capturing for 3-5 seconds, WinDV freezes up and the camera continues to play the footage. I have tried and tried to install a select number of patches, but anyone of them will cause the same problem. I am unusure of the solution and have not really found the exact same problem documented anywhere... By the way, I did try other capturing software (Ulead, Pinnacle Studio and Win MovieMaker 2) and all have the exact same problem. Do you have any ideas ?     - Need more CPU for MM2 I am running an AMD Athlon 1700+, with 1024mb of DDR SDRAM. I was saving a MM2 project as a movie, and the 700mb file took about 4 hours to encode. During this time my CPU usage was about 1%. On the "Performance settings" page the CPU and RAM are set for best performance of programs. A while back I installed MM2 and after it was installed
and it began updating my collection, an error occurred.
When I got back into the program, MM2 was installed, but
I don't have my collection and I only have 2 video
effects (slow down, half and speed up, double) and I have
no video transitions. Is there any way I can fix this?
