    - Playback I am having a lot of fun with Moviemaker. After a create a movie, the playback in Windows Media Player is small.     - another save movie problem Most often when i save my 5 min long created music video, it pauses for a long time on the "estimating remaining time" and then an error message pops up saying either my files are not in the right place, my saving location does not have enough storage, or the saving location doesn't exist. I then converted all my jpegs to bmp, mp3 to wav, and mpegs to wmv. Now i'm able to get it to start saving, but it started at 900 min remaining, and climbed steadily until i canceled at 2000min.     - Stupid Green Line in my video's I have this green line that runs along the right side of my video's that I capture from a DV Camera. It's really annoying, considering that I'll probably put some of these video's on a DVD or VHS and I don't want it to have a green line on them. The line is not on my camera when I preview the video, it only appears after I upload the video onto my computer, in AVI format(I don't think the format has anything to do with it).     - video clips from digital camera We recently took a few small videos 20 seconds each with our Fuju S7000 digital camera. When I import them to WMM the speach is broken up...It dosent run smoothly. Using the play back on the camera it is fine and when it is directly connected to the PC viewing under Windows Media player is runs great too. What am I doing wrong??     - Cannot import audio/video without wmm crashing I downloaded the new 2.1 version and I went to fix a clip for a video of mine and tried to find the missing audio file, and when I did it locked up. That is right after I found the file that was missing and replaced it, WMM locked up and now if I try to add any clips to WMM or any audio it crashes, it will not let me do anything. Any help would really be appreciated.     - Using Movie Maker via USB with a miniDV camcorder I have a JVC GR-D54E miniDV camcorder and I am using a software named Pixela to export my movies to my computer but the quality it provides is not very good.So I decided to use movie maker but while trying to have the settings done the program freezes until I turn off the camcorder.I could not export anything with movie maker.My question is;Do I need to have an IEEE 1394 type of connection in between the camcoder and the computer to use movie maker?And of course for that reason I think I should have an IEEE-1394 card on my computer.Thank you for your commends or recommendations.     - Stuttering movie when saved back to Digital Camcorder Hello, I've recently been editing movies and then re-recording them back to my Digital Camcorder tape in .avi format. I've noticed that I get the odd stutter when I playback the tape.     - Movie maker 2.1 help file missing after XP SP 2 upgrade Successfully upgraded XP with SP2 from CD. Movie maker version is now 2.1.4026.0. When I try to use the help file, I get a message "File Moviemk.chm not found in C:\program files\moviemaker\MUI\409\moviemk.chm. Check to see if it has been moved, etc".     - WMM 2 Locks up when dragging bar on timeline I have a project containing video, overlays, and music. I have worked on this project in the past, and have done so successfully. I have upgraded my PC to a Dell 4600, 1 GB RAM, Pent 2.8, etc... WinXP SP1. I have not been able to run WMM without problems. I have read many of the posts, visited Papa John's website (read and tried almost all of it), and still no success. 1. My current problem is this: When I open my project, everything opens O.K. If I move my mouse down to the timeline and click on the play button, the video and music works fine. If I then press pause, then play again, it works O.K. However, if I drag the position bar (the thin blue verical bar which shows where you are on the timeline) to a different starting point on the timeline - then press play to continue from that point, the video preview window says its playing, but the frame either shows the last image from my last position on the timeline, or the video just disappears to a black screen. I also get no sound. Why would everything disengage when dragging the timeline position bar to another part of the movie? 2. Whenever I try to lengthen my still images by dragging the right side of the still image from say 3 seconds to 5 seconds, I can do this successfully about 2 or 3 times. But when it is more than that, the project locks up and I have to kill it with Task Manager? I have spent the past 3 days reinstalling WMM 2, Media Player 9, Direct X, etc... I have renamed codecs, adjusted accelerator options, etc... Nothing is working - Is using a software program supposed to be this hard???? Tag: Problem saving video to cd Tag: 26500

    - Custom video effects Is there any way for me to have a black background and make the pictures I want move in a ferris wheel type motion and have them fade into other pictures after a given time. For those who have Microsoft Plus! I am sure you know what I am talking about because this is an extra screen saver option that can take your pictures and do this same thing.     - Analog camera to Digital camera to PC - Video but no sound! I am connecting an analog camcorder to a digial trying to convert and record to my PC. The analog is connected to the digical camcorder via S-Video for the video. For the audio, the digital camera came with a 3 prong to 1 connection (i.e. red, yellow and white merge into one conection to go into the digital camera). I have the sound jacks connected to the analog camera with the video jack unplugged and s-video conecting the 2 cameras together. I have the digital camera connected to the PC via firewire.     - copy protection When I finish editing a movie and send it back to my camera and then try to record it on my phillips DVD recorder, the DVD recorder says it is Copy Protected.     - Problem making slide show. I created a slide show last night from about 100 JPEG files. I'd like to select all the images and change the timing for all at once, not individually, so that the total running time is the same as a sound file that is playing in the background.     - What codecs are used Does anybody know what video and audio codes WMM 1.1 uses? I would assume 7.1 for video and 9 for audio. However, when I encode a file (for streaming via windows media services 9) using Windows Media Encoder 9 using 7.1 video and 9 audio codecs, I do not get sound.     - Making the output file I have WMV-file with a 30 minutes of movie. I want to divide it into 3 parts. First part was succesful but when I have selected the middle part the making of the output WMV file is hanging after 73%. In th task manager the processor% for the moviemaker process is stoping and going down to 0%. I have re-boot the PC but no different. Runing on XP service pack 2. Can any one help me?     - Can't export after insalling SP2 I have recently installed SP2 on my home PC. I use it heavily for video editing - I can no longer export to tape from eith Movie Maker, or Adobe Premiere which I normally use. I get the occassional frame, but that's all! Interestingly, Adobe Premiere has an option to 'export to tape' which blanks the monitor as the video is output via the 1394 connections, and this works fine, as it used to.     - Lost 1.3 gb of import in two seconds I had just completed a taping of a teaching video with mm 2.1 pressed finished and it went to processing the file. I did a CTRL ALT DEL to check processor activity which does a quick resolution change. MM could not handle that and I lost the entire session no back up no remedy. I don't even have the temporary file. Question what is it that MM does when it finishes a file after a DV import and why does it delete the temporay file on the error haVING NO WAY TO RESTART THE PROCESS? It seems I should be able to reload the raw file and let it do it's thing. This sucks because I shot directly to the computer because it was two hours non stop...     - Audio Glitches I have a slideshow set to music that plays back just fine when the project is open, but when I save the file (DV-AVI) the audio is glitchy. It has dropouts and slight skips.     - Problems with Panasonic DV Camera and Capture I have recently purchased a Panasonic NV GS11 DV Camcorder and have connected it to my HP T610 Pentium 4 PC with a Firewire cable (Belkin) to the onboard firewire port. The PC detects the camera, but often runs really slow at this point. I thne open up Windows Movie Maker, but cannot capture video. The programme generaes an "Unspecified Error" when I try to control the DV camera from the capture wizard. I have managed, on one occassion, to capture the entire tape by selecting "automatic" - so the PC does seem to be speaking to teh camcorder afetr a afashion. Does anyone know why this may not be working? I am running XP Home on SP2, and have not had any other problems with teh PC in a year of ownership.     - Fast Forward/Backward Is there a plug in or some utility that will allow me to fast forwards or backwards through a file to locate a particular scene. I find it most difficult if the file is large as the slider is far too course to locate specific scenes. Other playing utilities such as Power DVD have the facility.     - Cannot capture video Please help! I am able to operate (play, stop, fast forward etc) my digital camcorder Sony TRV20E from my brand new Sony Viao notebook K76P (both devices are under PAL system), however, my preview window is blank and I cannot capture any video images. In Windows Movie Maker, I get error messages: "the video was not captured correctly. Verify that your video camera and capture device are configured properly". "the specified video device is not responding. Verify device is connected properly and turn on then try capturing again". I have same problem with other Sony capturing applications (such as DVgate Plus, Click to DVD). The "capture" buttons are grey instead of red so I cannot click on them. And preview windows are always black or blue. Despite removing XP SP2 (as I was told it might have affected my firewire connection), I have no luck. Oh please help! Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced a problem when saving a movie
to CD. After installing SP2, it seems to lock up part way through recording.
If I save the file to my drive and then save to cd, it will complete but I
have audio and no video. Any Suggestions?
